On October 9, 2025, the executives of the Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University (PSUMed), led by Assoc. Prof. Sumidtra Prathep, M.D., extended a warm welcome to H.E. Mr. Patrick Bourne, Ambassador of Ireland to Thailand; Ms. Michelle Doherty, Political Counsellor & Consul; and Mr. Phee Chayakul, Office Manager and Consular Supervisor from the Embassy of Ireland.
The delegation paid an official visit to the Faculty to meet with the executive team and exchange views on key issues related to medical and public health education. Discussions also focused on strengthening cooperation and exploring opportunities for student exchange programs between Thailand and the Republic of Ireland.
